Matrix Mixer
The Matrix Mixer routes audio from recording devices (inputs) to playback devices (outputs) inside mAirList, e.g. to monitor a live input on a sound card output, to feed a sound card input into the encoder, or to pass a signal from one device to another without a hardware mixer.
Usage
The Matrix Mixer window is found in the Windows section of the About menu.
The window displays a matrix, with the recording devices as rows, and the playback devices as columns. Click a cell to connect the respective input to the output (a mix point); click it again to remove the connection. An input can be routed to several outputs, and an output can receive several inputs, which are mixed together.
Mix points take effect immediately. Note that they are not saved in the configuration, and are lost when mAirList is closed.
Saving and Loading
Use the Save button to save the current mix points into a text file, and Load to restore them from such a file. Loading a file replaces all current mix points.
The same can be done with the following remote control commands, e.g. to switch between different routings with the event scheduler:
MATRIXMIXER LOAD <filename>– load the mix points from the fileMATRIXMIXER SAVE <filename>– save the current mix points to the file
